Funk Rhythm Machine

For players who can strum chords but wonder why their funk doesn't groove

This course is an 8-week right-hand training program for players who can strum chords but can't figure out why their funk doesn't groove. Funk isn't built from fancy chord progressions — it's built from a right hand that never stops. You'll start with a nonstop 16th-note motor and build from there.

Month 1 locks in that 16th-note motor with wrist snaps, adds ghost notes and accents that bring the groove to life, and takes it all the way to a one-chord funk jam over E9. Month 2 layers color and expression onto the same rhythm — minimal 3-string voicings, single-note basslines, and staccato and shuffle feels.

The final week isn't a test — it's a stage. Over a bass-and-drums-only backing track, you'll pour in everything from both months and record your own groove.
